ooh i loved that movie just as soon as you said you did

Sweater, H&M. Shirt, Sergent Major (French kids store). Necklace, made by my sister (pearler beads!) Bracelets, from my childhood.

Okay, you guys, I don't get why I'm still single with this kind of humor:
Yes, believe it. My mom and I were talking about how I don't own a proper pair of slippers and always parade around the house on my socks. And don't blame me: I had a phase. Got over it soon enough, because it cost me all my allowance, but yes I was into trends and yes, on one cold winter day I biked all the way across the city for.. fake Uggs. UGGGH! And now, they serve as my special keep-your-toes-warm dwarf shoes: with laces! My mom and I DIY-ed this at eleven yesterday night!
You can say all you want about it, but you can't deny that it's original.

And it keeps-my-toes-warm ;)

paste it n' post it

Just so you know I'm alive and well. Well, well.. (haha) I have some issues and all, don't I always, but they're not in any way related to what this blog is (supposed to be) so I'll leave it be :)

My sowed patch gave up. So I taped my shoe. Both of them, actually: the other big toe had found its way through as well. The tape won't last, though. I went to take out the garbage and I live on the fourth floor so don't get me wrong.. but they gave in already. So I might just have to find myself new blue shoes/lace-ups. Or a combination. Or both.

Now I'll have to study for a French grammar test.. They're so stupid because the explanations are in French. So if you don't get French, you simply look at the explanation and.. oh no!
(I'm not bad at French but grammar is just horrible in whatever language..)

Nightie night :)

blown over by evil a house of wood

There was a hole in my shoe. NO WAY I was throwing these away: I need them to get even more worn out. One pathetic little hole is simply not enough.

Isn't this exactly what the left-overs of your jeans are for?

And if I'm busy anyways ;)

Tomorrow I'm staying over with four of my friends, because we're going to Texel (a teeny Dutch island) with the five of us! I'll be back the 9th/10th and we're going to have fun! Cooking for ourselves, relaxing on the beach, picknicks, card games in the middle of the night, running towards our tents when it's raining.. Sounds a lot like what I've been doing in France the last three weeks but you know, everything's just better with friends around.

DIY: headband thingie.

OK, this isn't really a DIY as it's more just a tip of what you could do.. you've probably seen it before because it isn't my own creation or anything but I can tell you how I made one of these headbands:

First of all you take two or more (I've got the 3 primaries..) strings of cotton (or some other fabric), all the same length. Remember that the more strings you use, the thicker the headband will be.
The literal translation for the method I've used here would be finger hooking but I don't know what it's really called.

1. Tie the strings together by making a loop at one of the ends.
2. Put your finger (best to use your forefinger of you none-writing hand) through the loop.
3. Wind the strings on the shorter end around your finger once, without tie-ing them together.
4. If you did it the right way you're supposed to have two loops around your finger now. So pull the back one (the tied one) over the other one and off your finger and pull it tight.

If you do the same thing over and over again, I hope it'll work for you. If not, I'll try to make a video someday. Good luck =)

At the end, tie the end together and there! You've (probably..) got a headband.

Note: You could also try to braid it normally, but for me it came out looking a bit worse.
